CHARON
The Ferryman
of Elysium
The ancients paid Charon one coin to cross the Styx. On Elysium, every soul still pays the toll — and the ferryman keeps an open ledger of every obol.
One coin.
One crossing.
In Greek myth, the dead were buried with an obol — a single coin — to pay Charon for passage across the river Styx. No coin, no crossing.
$CHARON turns that toll into a meme: every trade pays a small creator fee, and instead of disappearing into the dark, that toll is tracked in a public Toll Ledger with a stated plan for how it is used.
Where the toll goes
Creator fees (1–1.25% per trade on Obol) are the ferryman's toll. Here is the proposed policy for using them.
Market buybacks of $CHARON, executed on-chain from a disclosed wallet.
Rewards for art, memes, tools and lore created by the community.
Site, bots, infra and small utilities around the Charon brand.
Simple by design
No invented numbers. $CHARON uses Obol's standard launch mechanics.
Fair launch on Obol's bonding curve. Price is set by the curve as people buy and sell.
Total supply is set by Obol's standard at token creation. $CHARON does no separate minting.
Charged per trade in Obol's creator-fee mode. Planned use: see the Toll Ledger.
When the curve completes, the token graduates according to Obol's own process.
Pay the toll in four steps
Get an EVM wallet
Use a wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby and add the Elysium network using the details from Kinetiq's official docs.
Get HYPE on Elysium
HYPE is Elysium's gas token. Bridge HYPE from HyperEVM to Elysium (1:1) via the official Elysium bridge.
Go to Obol
Open obol.world, connect your wallet and search for $CHARON. Always verify the contract address against this site.
Pay the obol
Choose an amount, review the price and fees, and confirm. Remember: the curve moves both ways.

Questions at the dock
What is $CHARON?+
A meme token themed on Charon, the mythical ferryman who took one coin from every soul crossing the river Styx. It is launching on Obol, a bonding-curve launchpad on the Elysium chain. It has no intrinsic value and no promised utility beyond its community and the commitments on this page.
What is Elysium?+
Elysium is an EVM-compatible Layer 2 from Kinetiq, built on Arbitrum Orbit, that settles to HyperEVM and uses HYPE as its native gas token. HYPE bridges from HyperEVM 1:1. Check Kinetiq's official docs for network details.
Is there a contract address yet?+
No. $CHARON has not been deployed. Until launch, the contract address field on this site reads "Launching soon on Obol". Only trust the address published here and on our official socials once live.
What is the toll (creator fee)?+
The token launches on Obol in creator-fee mode, where 1–1.25% of each trade goes to the creator. We call it the toll. The planned use of that toll is shown in the Toll Ledger — it is a proposal, to be confirmed at launch.
Is there a presale or team allocation?+
No presale is planned. The token is launched through Obol's bonding curve, so everyone enters through the same curve. Any creator purchase at launch will be disclosed.
Is the ferry log real?+
Not yet. The terminal-style ferry log is a simulated demo for illustration only. It is not on-chain data until launch and will be clearly switched over if/when real data is wired in.
Is this affiliated with Obol, Elysium or Kinetiq?+
No. $CHARON is an independent community meme project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Obol, Elysium or Kinetiq.
Will I make money?+
Nobody can promise that, and we don't. Meme coins are highly speculative and extremely volatile. You can lose everything you put in. Only use what you can afford to lose.
